Galaxy Battles II (The Philippines)

Overview: This Filipino Dota 2 tournament will start off 2018 with a bang, with a US$500,000 prize pool and top tier teams like OG competing. Despite the recent kerfuffle where the event lost Major status due to Valve’s recent decision, Dota 2 fans can expect high level matches from not just OG, but also from Team Empire, SG e-sports, and hometown favourites TNC Pro Team.
Asia Pacific Acer Predator League (Indonesia)
Date: January 18–21
Notable Teams Participating: Evos Esports, Rex Regum, Geek Fam, Quid Pro Quo, Alpha Red, Ten Twenty

Overview: Get ready for all the thrills and chills from the biggest Dota 2 tournament in Asia Pacific: Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka. This tournament will be held at the Taman Anggrek Mall in Jakarta.
The best teams of each country will fight to be the greatest esport team in Asia Pacific. The finals will be held in Indonesia with a total prize pool of US$150,000. Other activities in the tournament include a meet-and-greet with the finalists, an auction for Acer Predator products, a cosplay competition, and a PUBG challenge.
ESL One Genting 2018 (Malaysia)
Date: Jan 23–28
Tournament Type: Major
Teams Participating: Virtus.Pro, Team Liquid, Newbee, Mineski, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Vici Gaming, Fnatic, LGD Forever Young, VGJ.Thunder, PENTA Sports, Planet Dog, NaVi, TNC Pro, Complexity Gaming, SG e-sports.

Overview: One of the biggest Malaysian Dota 2 tournaments last year is making a comeback later this year at the Arena of Stars situated at Resorts World Genting.
With a prize pool of US$400,000 and 400 qualifying points up for the taking, there’s an air of prestige here in this second Minor Dota 2 tournament in Southeast Asia.
The team listing too is filled with top-ranking Dota 2 teams such as Malaysia’s own Mineski, International 2017 winner Team Liquid, and China’s top team and previous ESL One Genting second place winner Newbee.
